Miami Beach Body Showdown Heats Up
If you're going to have a beach body honed to perfection, why not get the maxiumum reward and recognition you also deserve with that great look nowadays? Miami Beach with its huge display of fit forms from around the globe showing it off along South Beach and the ocean front areas of this shape-minded city is the setting for doing just that. Thiis year sees the arrival of the "Mr. and Ms. Miami Beach" contest, and it promises to be a staple of the fitness scene on many calendars locally and round-the-world.
The brainchild of south Florida fitness entrepreneur Anthony Presciano, the Mr. and Ms. Miami Beach will feature an advance casting event on Saturday, January 9 at KItchen 305, located at the Newport Beachside Hotel in Sunny Isles (North Miami). As Anthony tells us: "This casting call for competitors will narrow down the final 8 of the best who will go on to compete at the Mr. and Ms. Miami Beach on Friday, January 30th, again at the Newport Beachside Resort."
Judging the casting call and finals will be both Anthony Presciano, figure champion Michelle Levesque, and several other notable figures from the physique and fitness modeling worlds. Presciano is a well-known fitness consultant and trainer based in the Miami-Broward-Palm Beach county areas with a busy slate of fitness camps and outdoor events throughout the year along the coast. His ongoing "The Experience" fitness event sees people coming in for a four day intense tune-up and connection to new and achievable fitness goals. Michelle is an avid sportswoman, successful fitness model and winning figure competitor who has appeared frequently in the fitness media and magazine covers.
There will be $3,000 in eligible cash and prizes; finalists will also be eligible for the $10,000 in cash and prizes that will be given out at the year end Grand Championships event in December 31, 2010. Come out and show your hard-earned abs (or biceps, or legs) at this fun event, or support your fitness buds as they compete for another fitness milestone.
